Why Teaching? Why University of Florida?
Since I was a 4 years old kid, I always love reading any kinds of book including novel, newspaper, bed time story, etc. My parents were the one who keep giving books every time I finish reading one, and when I was in elementary school, I have read more than 100 books. My friends in elementary school always called me a nerd or bookworm, because I devoted myself to read books. Reading books is the most fun activity in the world, every time I have spare time after school, instead of playing sports with others, I read books at home, eat diner, and before sleep.
Reading books helps to enhance our brain into another level, not only it sharpened your memory, but also become more creative. I have won many reading competition like the battle of the books that held every 6 month, I already have 6 medals in my collection when I was in middle school. Not only attending competition, I also help the teacher to help the students who are confused with what they read, that’s when I know I have interest to be a teacher in the future. In the future I would like to become social study teacher because I like to tell history of the humanity and what can we do as the new generation to change the bad things in the past to be better in the future.
When the time I graduate from middle school to high school, I become social study teacher assistance. I have watched my teacher who I admire so much because whatever he taught, he will always connect it to today’s events and asking the students “what we can do better as the new generation to make this world a better place?” and so on. I love the bonding of my teacher to the students, always be attractive to the students, they learning but also having fun and that’s what I want to be when I become a teacher one day. I have learned about so many things from the three years of high school from my teachers and my parents. Now, I am a senior at my school and this is the first step to be a great teacher in the future.
University of Florida (UF), college of education is always my university goal. UF known as the top ranking education college in the state and remains among the top-20 best public colleges of education in the nation. UF is one of the universities in the world with high level of competition, they require a 4.0 GPA score in order to be considered to be applied to the school. The school also provide dorms for freshmen to stay, the school environment is safe and organized, and they have a big library for students to study and doing research. The maintaining of the school buildings is also very good, they always maintain the school so that it always looks new. I currently writing a fiction book, I started to write my book in the beginning of grade 11, when I get applied to UF, the teachers can help me to make my book better and hopefully the book will become popular.
In conclusion, I choose University of Florida because it is one of the best education college. I learned so many things from my teachers in high school and also my parents, they are the one who motivated me to become a teacher, making this world the better place by teaching the students in my own way. My goal when I become a teacher one day is to help the students to become the better person and don’t repeat the same mistake that people in the history did.
